We will do the same for Belmont as we did for Aqueduct and organize win results by month and within each month we wil drill down to each week. We will examine the winning program numbers and the percentage of all win Prices paying Less Than Eight Dollars (PLTED). Let’s call this the (PLTED) average.
Organizing win results in this fashion, will give a good picture of the trend surrounding win Prices paying Less Than Eight Dollars (PLTED). We will monitor certain situations on a weekly basis for each month. For now, lets focus on Maiden Claiming and Maiden Special Weight races independent of any distance or track condition for a particular month. In these situations, we will look at the (PLTED) average and see what it reveals for that month. We will start our analysis for the last 2 days of April and the 1st week of May. If we look at the consecutive weeks in April and May for Maiden Claimers we find the following so far: If we look at the consecutive weeks in April and May for Maiden Special Weight we find the following so far: As the month of May has closed out it seems as though Prices Less Than Eight Dollars (i.e. PLTED average) for Maiden Claiming races has been holding steady at a rate of 60%. Will look for these races in the month of June and see if the (PLTED average) will hold steady or drop down from 60%. Another interesting find is that, in May, for Maiden Claimers going 6 furlongs over a fast track the PLTED average was 72.7% with 8 out of 11 races paying under $8.00 we will look for these races in the month of June. For the month of June so far the PLTED average for Maiden Claimers going 6 furlongs over a fast track has been 1 for 3 or 33.3% we will continue to watch this trend.
